Prometheus

specifically talking about Prometheus. Now that gives the show away, right? If we take the Prometheus

on this planet. Right. It might've been that, but Prometheus suddenly became the thing. And so

Tom is saying, what the fuck do we know about Prometheus? You know? And so I'm saying, let's,

let's, let's take it easy. Let's go. You know, Prometheus was this guy. He stole fire from the gods,

freezing their asses off. Prometheus came down and said, here's fire, get warm, you know? And the

gods didn't like that. So they punished, punished Prometheus. You know, you're going to get chained

tell us something. And what is Prometheus about? It's about contact between the humans and the gods.

So this isn't the Prometheus basically. Yes. So in this, this thing keeps coming up,

versions of Prometheus, you're the, even the story of Faust or whatever, usually blows up on the person

you know, like Prometheus being kind of the archetypal one or or foused, you know, and usually it

of a platonic and UFO context? So I got, I got really obsessed with Sophocles Prometheus bound

he's, he's chaining up nailing down Prometheus. Okay. Which is ironic because like what did Prometheus do

Prometheus is being bound by technology. It's the God that gives us technology, but he is bound

like he thinks we're kind of we're creating prometheus. We're letting prometheus loose.

Yeah. The technology's running this. Prometheus is running it.

whether it's Lord of the Rings, Faust, Prometheus,

You know the Sardartha you know you have all these stories like that kind of heroes journey and then you also have stories like Faust in Prometheus of going for the forbidden truth for the knowledge and then getting burned.

And so how do you tow that line? Well the first thing we have to do is to understand that all of us contain Faust all of us are Prometheus and we always will be that's called being human.

But it did for Faust and it did for Prometheus before hip.
