It's a lot to unpack, and that's why we are going live now to Sydney, Australia, with
[0:00:00 - 0:00:03] ▶
news nations special correspondent Ross Colthart.
[0:00:03 - 0:00:06] ▶
Ross, it's always so good to see you.
[0:00:06 - 0:00:07] ▶
Thanks for making the time.
[0:00:07 - 0:00:09] ▶
It's a real pleasure, Natasha.
[0:00:09 - 0:00:11] ▶
Nice to see you and your guests.
[0:00:11 - 0:00:12] ▶
And I know that you've covered other accounts of UFOs, moving hundreds of miles an hour
[0:00:13 - 0:00:17] ▶
underwater, adjoining with Congressman Birchitz claims.
[0:00:17 - 0:00:20] ▶
What do you make of underwater UFOs?
[0:00:20 - 0:00:23] ▶
I've had the privilege of speaking directly with submariner's, particularly who have
[0:00:23 - 0:00:29] ▶
been witnessed to measurements of objects underwater using the sophisticated tracking technology
[0:00:29 - 0:00:36] ▶
that both the US Navy and my Navy and Australia use, and there are objects that have been
[0:00:36 - 0:00:42] ▶
recorded unbelievably moving close to the speed of sound in air underwater.
[0:00:42 - 0:00:49] ▶
So we're talking there about hundreds of kilometres an hour, hundreds of miles an hour, and
[0:00:49 - 0:00:54] ▶
there's no explanation for it.
[0:00:54 - 0:00:56] ▶
What we do know is that it is now officially admitted that the mystery of these objects
[0:00:56 - 0:01:02] ▶
The United States has come a long way in the last five to seven years.
[0:01:03 - 0:01:07] ▶
It now admits officially through the Director of National Intelligence that, in fact, there
[0:01:07 - 0:01:11] ▶
is a mystery, a genuine mystery there that requires investigation.
[0:01:11 - 0:01:17] ▶
And so now under the new administration, under President Trump, there's a big push
[0:01:17 - 0:01:21] ▶
on, privately, behind the scenes, to get the claims of people like Jake Barber, the guy
[0:01:21 - 0:01:27] ▶
that I interviewed on NewsNation a few weeks ago, who exclusively revealed his knowledge,
[0:01:27 - 0:01:32] ▶
direct first-hand knowledge of the existence of a retrieval programme, an underground retrieval
[0:01:32 - 0:01:39] ▶
programme involving alleged alien technology.
[0:01:39 - 0:01:43] ▶
Incredible allegations, I know.
[0:01:43 - 0:01:46] ▶
But what's interesting is there is no engagement at the top levels of the Trump administration,
[0:01:46 - 0:01:51] ▶
and also in the Congress.
[0:01:51 - 0:01:53] ▶
People want to hear more, and they're asking questions.
[0:01:53 - 0:01:56] ▶
And let me ask you about that, because I know Jake Barber revealed that he is met with
[0:01:56 - 0:02:00] ▶
then-Senator Marguerubio staff about the UFO retrieval programme he says he was a part of.
[0:02:00 - 0:02:05] ▶
Of course, Rubio is now Secretary of State.
[0:02:05 - 0:02:07] ▶
What does this mean for the future of UFO information?
[0:02:07 - 0:02:10] ▶
Do you know anything about this?
[0:02:10 - 0:02:11] ▶
Oh, no, that's what we're all hoping to find out.
[0:02:11 - 0:02:15] ▶
In fact, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Lerner has flagged that this week she's got a big
[0:02:15 - 0:02:19] ▶
announcement coming that she says is bigger than UAPs, which we're all waiting brithlessly
[0:02:19 - 0:02:25] ▶
And the speculation is that it might involve some decision about declassification of some
[0:02:26 - 0:02:32] ▶
of the more intransigent government secrets, particularly UAPs.
[0:02:32 - 0:02:37] ▶
I think one of the issues for incoming administrations, I think, is they're often not told until they
[0:02:38 - 0:02:43] ▶
get into office what the secrets really are.
[0:02:43 - 0:02:47] ▶
And the president has been quite upfront about his determination to reveal what can be
[0:02:47 - 0:02:52] ▶
revealed about UAPs.
[0:02:52 - 0:02:55] ▶
As you know, I did an interview with Don Trump Jr. a few weeks ago and he's obviously very
[0:02:55 - 0:02:59] ▶
engaged with the subject.
[0:02:59 - 0:03:01] ▶
I've had more conversations with people in the Trump administration since, and I've had
[0:03:01 - 0:03:05] ▶
reach outs from people in defence and the intelligence community who frankly tell me
[0:03:05 - 0:03:10] ▶
that they think it's time the American public and indeed the world was told what the US
[0:03:10 - 0:03:16] ▶
really does know about UAPs.
[0:03:16 - 0:03:19] ▶
They don't think there's any good reason to keep on hiding what they tell me is the case,
[0:03:19 - 0:03:24] ▶
which is that humanity has long been engaging with an advanced non-human intelligence and
[0:03:24 - 0:03:29] ▶
we have been recovering their technology.
[0:03:29 - 0:03:32] ▶
But I think that's a big call to say that the government's going to make the decision
[0:03:32 - 0:03:36] ▶
to release that information because there are genuinely national security imperatives.
[0:03:36 - 0:03:42] ▶
I can understand why the defence department might want to protect weapons technology
[0:03:42 - 0:03:47] ▶
or propulsion systems or energy systems.
[0:03:47 - 0:03:50] ▶
But I think at the very least, President Trump could come out and he could say, yes, we
[0:03:50 - 0:03:56] ▶
are aware of a non-human intelligence and advanced technology.
[0:03:56 - 0:04:00] ▶
But we're not going to reveal those secrets to the Russians or the Chinese potential adversaries.
[0:04:00 - 0:04:06] ▶
But we do think you the public should know that we are on top of this.
[0:04:06 - 0:04:10] ▶
We're restoring it to congressional oversight because it's been hidden improperly from the
[0:04:10 - 0:04:14] ▶
Congress and indeed from previous presidents.
[0:04:14 - 0:04:18] ▶
And so it would be a really big move, I think, by the current president to make that decision
[0:04:18 - 0:04:23] ▶
and be more open and honest with the American public.
[0:04:23 - 0:04:26] ▶
Yeah, I know so many are hoping for more transparency in the next four years.
[0:04:26 - 0:04:31] ▶
A russian just about 20 seconds, who do you believe would be trying to cover this up
[0:04:31 - 0:04:35] ▶
I think more often than not, Natasha, it's coming from private industry.
[0:04:37 - 0:04:41] ▶
There are a group of aerospace companies who've got the control of this technology and by
[0:04:41 - 0:04:46] ▶
golly, they're not letting go in a hurry.
[0:04:46 - 0:04:49] ▶
Ross Coltard, it is always so good to see you and it always sparks so many questions.
[0:04:49 - 0:04:53] ▶
Thanks for watching.
